This large St. Benedict oxidized medal, made in Italy, measures approximately.

If you have a devotion to St. Benedict, or if you're seeking his patronage, this medal is a perfect gift for any man or woman. St. Benedict is a patron saint of dying, and holds many miracles and exercises great power over the spirits of darkness. So, surrounding his image are the Latin words for "May we be strengthened by his presence in the hour of our death." It can be worn around the neck (search for "chains" if you'd like to wear it), attach it to your scapular or the Rosary and/or carry it with you.

The reverse of the Medal shows the image of the Cross. Around the margin are the initials of Latin words which form verses supposed to have originated with the holy Father Benedict himself. The English translation is: "Be gone Satan! Suggest not to me thy vain things. The cup thou profferest me is evil; drink thou thy poison." In the angles formed by the arms of the Cross are the letters C.S.P.B., signifying "Cross of the holy Father Benedict." The letters on the Cross itself have this meaning: "May the holy Cross be my light; let not the dragon be my guide."

This oxidized medal is the most detailed medals in the market today, containing the most minute detail and three dimensional Italian casting. The two medals shown are front and back. The detail of the Italian medals is unlike any other!
